Header: Duties

• Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles and adapt to various learning styles.
• Deliver engaging classroom instruction in math topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and differential equations.
• Integrate educational technology tools and IT-based lessons to foster interactive and innovative learning environments.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while implementing classroom management strategies that promote a positive learning atmosphere for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support individual growth.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum implementation and instructional design to ensure cohesive educational delivery across grade levels.
• Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on research projects, and higher education pathways.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with educational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to teaching mathematics and instructional best practices.
• Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and educational compliance discussions to support student success initiatives.

Header: Experience

• Valid state teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics (or eligibility for certification).
• Proven high school teaching experience with a focus on mathematics instruction.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching advanced math topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus (including differential equations), discrete math, and proof-based mathematics.
• Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds; adept at differentiating instruction to meet varied learning styles.
• Skilled in integrating educational technology into classroom lessons; familiarity with digital tools for lesson planning and assessment is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional strategies.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience preparing students for academic assessments; familiarity with special education needs is a plus.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth through research participation or instructional design workshops; experience mentoring or advising students is advantageous.
