Position Overview
The Welcome Desk Attendant provides customer services support to members and guest and oversees shift operations of the Athletics and Wellness Center Welcome Desk and Membership Services. Successful candidate will greet Center guests, supervise entry into the facility, and maintain the desk.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet AWC guests.
- Administer memberships.
- Maintain facility entry system database.
- Monitor and ensure proper check-in procedures are followed.
- Report on-time to work with proper uniform.
- Address concerns and questions regarding programs facilitated within the Athletics and Wellness Center and by Wellness Programs.
- Complete shift report in its entirety.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Follow procedures and policies as outline in the Employee Handbook.
- Know and enforce AWC policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of people.
- Strong customer services skills.
- Pleasant personality for answering telephones and greeting guests in person.
- Experience with computers including word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.
- Ability to carryout detailed instructions.
- Ability to work well in team settings.
- CPR and AED certified or willingness to obtain within 60 days of employment.
