What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Sales Associate position at Earl Owen Co.?
A valuable part of Earl Owen Company’s team consists of our sales force that provides our customers with the best service and product assistance possible while continuously seeking new customers to service. We have outside sales managers, phone room sales staff, and counter sales representatives. The following responsibilities, job duties, and qualifications are for our counter sales staff.
I. Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for, though not limited to, meeting sales goals, servicing accounts; and maintaining a professional image of Earl Owen Company on a daily basis. This position will continuously promote and sell Earl Owen Company’s products and services to existing and potential new customers.
II. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is assisting walk-n customers, acknowledging them immediately with a pleasant greeting and finding the parts they are looking for in a knowledgeable, professional manner.
- Attend daily morning sales meetings
- Maintain broad and deep knowledge of all current and new products
- Write counter invoices and take money to billing office
- Write counter invoices and process credit card purchases on the counter
- Take care of customers’ installation needs in an efficient and expedient manner
- Schedule installation work for the back, checking with them and the schedule
- Go outside and verify that we have correct information on the vehicle needing parts.
- Keep showroom clean and orderly, keep products in stock and change displays when new one becomes available.
- If all walk-in customers are taken care of, assist the phone room by answering overflow calls. But attending to walk-in counter customers always comes first!
- Make outbound calls to customers during downtime.
