Position: Electrician
Eagleville Hospital, an independent substance use and behavioral health treatment and educational organization serving the community for more than a century, provides innovative, compassionate care to individuals seeking treatment for stigmatized illnesses, including substance use and mental health disorders.
Position Summary
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems and related electrical equipment. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Objectives / Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and replace components of the electrical distribution system as required.

Perform all necessary electrical safety inspections in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies and hospital policies.

Install new wiring, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment as needed.

Diagnose issues and complete repairs on facility electrical equipment.

Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in a secure and safe manner.

Ensure safe operation of all equipment and maintain proper working conditions.

Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and ongoing maintenance.

Follow all applicable safe working methods, practices, and procedures.

Report any unsafe working conditions to management for corrective action.

Complete all required documentation for work performed, inspections, or investigations.

Provide emergency on-call services as assigned.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
- High School or trade school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Complete apprenticeship or trade school program, and pass a state licensing exam.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Knowledge of controls, control systems, lighting, power circuits, distribution system and wiring.
- Knowledge of understanding of electrical systems, including circuitry, wiring, transformers and motors.
- Conduct general electrical system maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues with testing equipment.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Ability to read schematic, diagrams, blueprints and to prepare simple specifications
- Ensure electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.

- Job requires heavy lifting and carrying (average of 50-100 pounds)
- Pushing, pulling bending, climbing ladders and working in tight areas
- Snow and Ice removal as required when necessary
- Good eye and hand coordination
Work Environment
- Work outdoors in inclement weather conditions
- Mechanical Rooms/Boilers rooms exposure to high temperatures, noise and dirt.
