Full Time Position : Hourly non-exempt

Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and qualified Assembly Lead / Machine Building Lead who has proven experience with industrial and construction equipment. You will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, installing equipment and leading the Assembly Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of assemblers and machine builders, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Plan and schedule assembly and machine building projects, prioritizing tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to guide assembly and machine building processes.
  • Assemble and test complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, including sub-assemblies and final products.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Monitor and control project costs, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including assembly logs, test results, and material usage.
  • Collaborate with engineering and other departments to resolve technical issues and improve product designs.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members.
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical principles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience with various assembly techniques, including bolting, riveting, welding (if applicable), and fastening.
  • Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly and machine building, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

ASSEMBLER

Full Time Position : Hourly non-exempt

Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and qualified assembler / machine builder who has proven experience with industrial and construction equipment. You will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints and installing equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machinery.
  • Dismantle equipment when required for repair or transportation.
  • Assist in building the foundation of our machines and conveyors.
  • Align and calibrate machinery equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation.
  • Occasionally travel to job sites to assist with installation or customer concerns.
  • Ability to work with a range of handtools, Team Members must have a set of basic tools to use.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, belt systems, motors and other industrial equipment mechanisms that are essential for the job procedures.
  • Organizing, packaging, palletizing and crafting of completed products for shipments.
  • Ability to work on other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.


Skills/Requirements:

  • Some experience as a machine builder or similar role, preferably in a technical or machining field.
  • Some technical knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting simple systems.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and make sound decisions in a fast-paced on-site environment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and Team Members.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in equivalent field or 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work and customer sites.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
