What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief of Staff position at Eagle?
About Eagle
- Eagle is an AI buyout platform on a mission to unleash engineering services for the built environment.
- We acquire and scale world-class civil, structural, and MEP firms, putting proprietary technology into the hands of the engineers who design our nation’s critical infrastructure (think water systems, power utilities, bridges, and more).
- Our ambition is to create the first AI-native engineering design firm to meet the country's generational energy, climate, and infrastructure needs.
- We're backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, a global venture capital firm.
- Eagle is seeking a Chief of Staff to work alongside the co-founders and own core operations.
- You will drive day-to-day operations of Eagle and our operating subsidiaries, supporting M&A, operations, strategy, and business administration.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to the founders on both strategic and day-to-day decisions
- Support M&A activities including due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition operations
- Run core business operations: budgeting, vendor relationships, recruiting
- Build and help automate internal processes (reporting, repetitive workflows, systems)
- Communicate key results and perspectives with the Board, investors, and manager
- 3 years in IB, PE, consulting, or operations at high-growth companies
- A bias toward action and ownership; you see a gap and fill it
- Sharp analytical skills paired with the judgment to move fast on imperfect information
- Strong generalist instincts, i.e., comfortable jumping between finance, people ops, and strategy in a single day
- Experience with M&A transactions or post-merger integration preferred (not required)
- Excitement around what we’re building
