Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part Time Escrow Intern to handle the review and return Holding Fees and return Security Deposit held in Escrow following tenant move out. This role ensures compliance with state and local regulations. As an Escrow Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of accounting and finance. Detailed training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Refund tenant holding fee on a daily basis
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all Holding Fee refund transactions
• Reconcile Holding Fee refund transactions weekly and monthly to ensure accuracy
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issued related to Holding Fee refund
• Process tenant security deposit refunds after move-out.
• Keep accurate records of all refund transactions.
• Issue and track refunds or charges in property management or accounting software.
• File and maintain accurate records of move-out reports and refund documentation (physical and/or digital).
• Prepare and review monthly and daily reports
• Ensure timely processing of deposit returns upon move-out

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good communication and basic math skills.
• Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and property management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Currently enrolled in College/University majoring in Accounting, Finance or related field OR a recent graduate in a related field.
