What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Employment Coordinator position at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa?
PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
The Employment Coordinator focuses on the recruiting process for the Resort as well as assisting with day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department’s functions and duties. Responsible for new hire orientations, job fairs, employee relations and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Employment
- Reviews applications and resumes as submitted. Manages the flow and distribution of applications submitted via the recruiting email box. Maintains a filing system that retains qualified applications.
- Issues job postings internally to generate growth opportunities for existing associates.External posting occur simultaneously to generate outside candidates traffic flow.
- Updates job listings on company website, social media and other job posting venues.
- May be asked to schedule first interviews for the hiring manager and Human Resources Director.
- Performs reference checks and verifications of past employment for potential candidates.
- Extends offers of employment, schedules in-processing, and enters on log sheet.
- Monitors barcode issuance, prepares new hire packets, establishes personnel file.
- Processes new hires, changes, and terminations of Associates in the HR database and gives any necessary information to Payroll.Conducts orientation/in-processing.
- Coordinates annual Job Fair Event to screen/interview candidates for seasonal positions.
- Represents Eagle Ridge at area and college career fairs and recruiting events.
- Handles filing of all paperwork into the personnel files.
- Processes Term Report for Payroll.
- Handles reception duties and phone calls.
- Assists with HR Director’s duties as delegated.
- Mails out thank you letters to unsuccessful candidates that have interviewed for open positions.
- Mails out the candidate offer letter packet as requested and tracks return.
- Other duties as assigned.
Employee Relations
- Handles drawing and prizes for Incentives.
- Maintains appropriate neutrality and confidentiality of employment, non-employment and disciplinary information.
- Assist with all “Employee Recognition” activities.
Human Resources Purchasing
- Prepares all purchase orders for employment advertising, job fair, career fairs, department supplies, etc.
- $100 Hire payout requests.
Training and Safety
- Tracks participants and training records in HR database.
- Receives reports for all workers comp incidents/accidents Associates.
- Assists with arranging post-accident drug testing and medical treatment.
- Logs all accident information in HR database for tracking purposes.
- Maintains occurrence based and yearly OSHA reports.
- Schedules and conducts new-employee orientation,
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – Not applicable
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent computer skills, including database, Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher and Power Point programs.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Multitasking is a key element for success
- Able to file, copy, scan, and fax records with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associates degree preferred; and one to two years related experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees. Fluency in Spanish as well as English is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to make appropriate judgments regarding daily administrative and human resources duties.

Valid Driver’s license

Practice written safety standards and rules at all times. HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
Salary : $100
