About the Role
Eagle Point School District 9 is seeking a compassionate, adaptable, and motivated Special Education Instructional Assistant to join our dedicated team.
In this role, you will work closely with special education teachers, site administrators, and support staff to provide vital services
and instruction to students with special needs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting students\' academic, social,
emotional, and behavioral development, while ensuring they have the tools and care necessary to succeed.
As a Special Education Instructional Assistant, you will assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide one-on-one or small group support,
and assist students in their personal and physical care. You\'ll play an integral role in creating a positive, inclusive
learning environment and ensuring compliance with special education regulations
Who We\'re Looking For
We are searching for individuals who are patient, collaborative, and passionate about supporting students with disabilities. The ideal candidate is flexible, communicates effectively, and can positively
engage with students, staff, and families. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, meet one of the required educational
qualifications (such as postsecondary coursework, an associate\'s degree, or passing district assessments), and be trained or willing to be trained
in CPR, first aid, CPI restraint procedures, and special education best practices. Prior experience supporting students with special needs is preferred,
but most importantly, we are looking for someone committed to fostering an environment where all students can thrive.

Position Title: Special Education Instructional Assistant
Placement: Eagle Point High School, Eagle Point, Oregon
Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Contract Days: 182 days per year / 7 hours per day
Salary Range: $18.87-$26.85 per hour depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position
Salary listed indicates current 2023-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change
Position will begin September 8, 2026, with screening to begin immediately.
