About the Role
Eagle Point School District 9 is seeking a School Counselor to support the academic, career, and social-emotional development of all students. This position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the Oregon Framework for School Counseling Programs, including guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, system support, and student advocacy. The School Counselor works closely with students, staff, families, and community partners to promote student success and remove barriers to learning. This role includes providing individual and group counseling, supporting academic and career planning, responding to student needs, and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Who We\'re Looking For
We are seeking a collaborative and student-centered professional who is committed to supporting the whole child and fostering a positive school climate. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills, maintains confidentiality, and builds meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff. Candidates must hold a Master\'s Degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field and possess a valid Oregon School Counselor License (TSPC). Applicants must pass a required criminal background check and maintain a valid Oregon Driver\'s License with reliable transportation. Successful candidates will bring knowledge of counseling practices, student development, and educational systems, along with the ability to stay organized, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to the changing needs of students and schools.

Position Title: School Counselor
Placement: Eagle Point High School, Eagle Point, Oregon
Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Contract Days: 193/194 days per year / 8 hours per day
Salary Range: $46,548 - $90,846 per year plus a Master\'s Stipend of $2,327. Salary placement will be dependent upon verified full-time experience and Master\'s level credits.
Salary listed indicates current 2023-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change
Position will begin in August 2026, with screening to begin immediately.
