SUMMARY

The Gaming Security Lieutenant is responsible for the quality and outcome of security services on assigned shift, supervises Gaming Security activities and staff, and provides security services to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and Tribal property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manages the security activities on each shift.
  2. Oversees the scheduling of assigned personnel, monitors days off and area assignments to insure complete coverage of all assigned patrol areas.
  3. Briefs all Security Force personnel on a daily basis of all incidents and memos from each shift.
  4. Ensures the safety and wellbeing for team members and guests.
  5. Cooperates and enforces all policies & procedures of the Gaming Commission, Casino Operations and outside Law Enforcement Agencies, as requested and or approved.
  6. Enforces disciplinary action according to approved polices & procedure and handles personnel assignments according to approved polices & procedures or standard operating procedures and general orders.
  7. Ensures protection of all Tribal assets.
  8. Attends training to improve skills that are work related and beneficial to the Security Force.
  9. Assigns tasks as needed to subordinates and ensures proper supervision has been provided for the task.
  10. Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  11. Ensure compliance of all departmental policies and procedures.
  12. Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
  13. All other departmental duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum age requirement is 21.
  2. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Must have law enforcement training or security background.
  4. Possession of P.C. 832 Security Certificate, or prior experience in security operations (Preferred)
  5. Must possess current Security Guard Card and certification of training.
  6. Must possess First Aid and CPR Certification or obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  7. Must possess Powers to Arrest Certification or obtain one within 180 days of hire.
  8. Must have strong management, supervisory, leadership, and communication skills.
  9. Must have excellent guest service skills.
  10. Must maintain compliance with gaming, state, and federal regulations.
  11. Ability to read and comprehend documents pertaining to security policies & procedures, rules & regulations, and operating instructions.
  12. Ability to correspond and write reports.
  13. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests, Team Members, and officials of the organization.
  14. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  15. Ability to solve problems and maintain control with a variety of incidents concerning the operation of the department.
  16. Ability to interpret a range of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  17. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the casino’s insurance carrier.
  18. Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
