IT Manager

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the information technology systems and infrastructure within an organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the company's technology resources, aligning IT strategies with business objectives, and leading a team of IT professionals. The IT Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining technology solutions that support the organization's needs and drive productivity and innovation. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy in alignment with business goals. 

2. Identify technology trends and advancements relevant to the organization's industry and propose innovative solutions to improve operations and competitive advantage. 

3. Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.  

4. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster a productive and collaborative work environment. 

5. Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and telecommunications. 

6. Ensure that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable to meet current and future business needs. 

7. Manage and support critical systems and applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. 

8. Ensure systems are optimized, updated, and backed up regularly to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity. 

9. Develop and implement robust security measures to protect the organization's data and systems from internal and external threats.  

10. Establish and enforce security policies and procedures, conduct regular audits, and provide security awareness training to staff. 

11. Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.  

12. Assist the IT Director with budgeting and resource allocation.  

13. Assist the IT Director with developing and managing the IT budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and optimizing resource allocation.  

14. Provide recommendations on technology investments and cost-saving initiatives. 

15. Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.  

16. Coordinate with IT Team Members, manage risks, and communicate project progress to relevant parties. 

17. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to IT governance, data protection, and privacy.  

18. Establish and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance across the organization. 

19. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.  

20. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance users' technical skills and knowledge. 

21. Assist the IT Director with Development and implementation plans for disaster recovery and business continuity to mitigate risks and minimize downtime in the event of a system failure or catastrophic event. 

22. Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of information technology, staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. 

23. Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.  

24. All other departmental duties assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Two (2) to four (4) years management/supervisory experience. 

2. Bachelor’s Degree in I.T. or equivalent experience. 

3. Minimum four (4) years experience in hardware upgrade, maintenance, and repair of computer equipment, not limited to PC computers. 

4. Must be 21 and over. 

5. Specific duties and responsibilities of an IT Manager may vary depending on the organization's size, industry, and IT infrastructure. 

6. Must be able to retain a valid California Driver License. 

7. Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission. 

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL: 

1. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, and sit. 

2. Repeatedly required use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls to reach with hands and arms. 

3. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 

4. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations. 

5. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 

6. Environment is in an office setting with occasional visits to the casino floor. 

7. Noise level is moderate to high on the casino floor. 

8. Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. 

REPORTS TO: Director of IT 

SUPERVISES: IT Telecommunications Administrator, IT Database Administrator, IT Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, IT Technician III 

HOURS: The casino operates 24/7.  Schedule, shift, and hours will vary.    

SALARY: $/hr. / weekly pay / non-overtime eligible
