Cocktail Server

The Cocktail Server takes cash from the guest and buys drinks from the Bartender.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Have a small bank to be able to purchase liquor and beer drinks from the Bartender and change the guest.
2. Ensure all orders are properly rung up on the point of sales computer.
3. Open assigned areas/outlets at the proper time and to the standard set. Must be in the station and ready to work at the start of shift.
4. All guests visibly looking thirty (30) years old and under must be checked for proper identification to ensure being over the age of twenty-one (21) before having any alcoholic beverages.
5. Watch for any intoxicated guests and abuse problems. When a situation occurs notify the Beverage Supervisor or Management on duty.
6. Garnish mixed drinks according to set standards/procedures.
7. Report to work at the assigned and scheduled time in the proper uniform shoes and appearance.
8. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1. The minimum age requirement is twenty-one (21) or older.
2. High school graduate or equivalent.
3. At least two (2) years’ experience preferred as a food/cocktail server in a large volume bar/restaurant or casino bar. Prior working experience as a food server is grounds for consideration.
4. Thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and exits, safety and cleaning procedures.
5. Knowledge of all the cleaning and chemical supplies
6. Have the ability to provide excellent guest service and communication skills.
7. Computer knowledge of how to run the POS machine and printers.
8. Knowledge of drinks.
9. Take drink orders from guests and serve in a proper and courteous manner – must pick up any dirty glassware and dispose of beer bottles.
10. Ability to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

1. Must have the ability to lift 35lbs.
2. Able to work/ stand (be on your feet) for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment.
3. The noise levels range from moderate to high.
4. The immediate work environment may be a smoking environment.
5. Exposed to ringing bells and flashing lights on the casino floor.
6. Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary : $16 - $17
