Flooring Installer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties

• Measure and prepare work areas using schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation.
• Remove existing flooring materials carefully, including water-damaged or worn surfaces, preparing the subfloor for new installation.
• Install various flooring types such as tile laying, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with attention to detail and quality standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fitting, caulking, trimming, and securing flooring materials.
• Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, sealing, and finishing to achieve a smooth and durable surface.
• Read schematics and blueprints to accurately follow design specifications during installation projects.
• Conduct restoration work on damaged floors or surfaces as needed within the restoration industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members on construction estimating and project planning to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, cabinets, or other related components as part of remodeling or renovation projects.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris safely throughout each project phase.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in flooring installation including tile laying, carpet installation, or similar construction work.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and floor care techniques.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, saws, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and sanders.
• Construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols and proper equipment handling.
• Familiarity with water damage restoration processes and concrete finishing is a plus.
• Ability to perform remodeling tasks including cabinetry installation, construction painting, handyman repairs, and fixture setup.
• Knowledge of the restoration industry standards is advantageous for projects involving water damage or structural repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise installations.

Pay: $24.77 - $29.83 per hour
