We are hiring a Part-Time Assistant Manager / Customer Service Representative to support daily operations at our self storage facilities and provide coverage across multiple locations when needed.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager (Part-Time) supports customer service, leasing, payments, office administration, and basic facility oversight across one or more self storage locations.
This role is ideal for someone seeking consistent part-time hours (2.5 days per week) with the flexibility to step into full-time hours temporarily when needed.
This position is a great fit for someone who is reliable, organized, and enjoys helping customers while working independently.
Schedule & Availability
Two full weekdays per week (example: Thursday & Friday) – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Average: ~20 hours per week (steady)
Additional Availability Required:
Ability to cover full-time hours on a temporary basis
Coverage may range from one day up to 1–2 weeks
Advance notice provided whenever possible
Floating Position – work at Wasilla and Eagle River locations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer service for self storage tenants and prospective customers
- Lease storage units and process payments
- Answer phones, emails, and walk-in inquiries
- Maintain accurate digital records and customer accounts
- Monitor facility security systems and gate access
- Perform facility walk-throughs and basic property checks
- Keep the office clean, organized, and professional
- Assist with coverage at nearby locations as needed
Qualifications
1 year of customer service, office assistant, or assistant manager experience
Comfortable with computers, phones, and basic office software
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
Pay & Benefits
Starting Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience and performance
