Position Summary
As the Automation Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and fixing automated systems as needed.
To thrive in this role you should have an interest in creating a career in maintaining technology equipment and machinery.
Required Skills / Competencies
Knowledge Areas:
- In-depth understanding of company standards (training will be provided)
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Must be able to work independently in fast-paced environment and exhibit strong written and verbal communications skills
Technical/Communication Skills:
- Work with hand tools and other equipment
- Able to listen to, understand, and follow directions
- Reliable and extremely trustworthy
- Must be able to effectively speak, read and write in English for various reports
- Able to speak Spanish is a plus
- Be a team member and work well with others
- Knowledge of industrial power is very helpful
- Understands how to wire and troubleshoot control voltage with multimeter
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic checks
- Monitor automated systems
- Isolate problems and make repairs
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues. Being able to troubleshoot electrical and computerized issues is a plus!
Expected Hours of Work
- This full-time position may require approximately 40 plus hours, as needed, to meet the demands of the business and complete the responsibilities of this position.
Work Environment
- Duties and responsibilities are performed in a warehouse setting
- Loud noises
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Exposure to temperatures of approximately 42° in the warehouse
- Ability to speak to and hear other employees via phone or in person
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
