We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager in our Chesterfield, MO office to establish and lead our new Service Department, focused on providing world-class support to our Delta Controls customers. This role is a unique opportunity to build a service division from the ground up—initially serving as a hands-on technician, programmer, estimator, and salesperson while simultaneously developing the structure, processes, and team required to scale a profitable department. The ideal candidate is both technically strong in building automation systems (Delta Controls experience strongly preferred) and business-minded, capable of balancing customer satisfaction with operational efficiency and financial performance.
Primary Responsibilities for eagle Control’s Service Manager:
- Performing field service, troubleshooting, and system repairs on Delta Controls and other building automation systems.
- Developing and delivering programming solutions, including system integration and commissioning.
- Preparing service estimates, proposals, and contracts while identifying opportunities for maintenance agreements, upgrades, and add-on projects.
- Serving as the primary customer contact, providing responsive support and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring service technicians and support staff as the department grows.
- Establishing operational standards, tracking KPIs, and managing budgets to ensure the service division meets financial and performance goals.
Primary Qualifications for eagle Control’s Service Manager:
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related technical service fields is preferred.
- Experience with Delta Controls’ programming, service, and integration is preferred.
- Strong technical background in BAS service, programming, and system troubleshooting.
- Proven track record of customer relationship management and business development.
- Ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously (technical, sales, estimating, management) during startup phase.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering, Automation, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
