The Service Manager will coordinate the daily direction of a service department made up of a group of specialty mechanics, technicians, and welders. Coordinate company technical resources to ensure appropriate solutions are offered. This is a direct customer facing position. Must be able to multi-task and respond to customer’s emergencies with technical resolutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.Job Location: St. Louis Essential functions:Develop and write proposals based upon customer needs.Reviews JSA’s, safety audits, and responsible for the safety of personnel in the shop and on the job site.Continual development and evaluation of employees.Review service tickets daily for accuracy of technical completion, procedures, time entry, and materials.Manages job flow including manpower, scheduling, material availability, and dispatching.Responsible for monitoring costs and job status.Schedules training for employees on an as needed basis.Manages employee discipline and adherence to company policies.All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.Basic Requirements:Education:A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Technical degree preferred.Experience: Must have 5 years prior experience working as a boiler service technician on commercial/industrial steam and hot water boilers with strong electrical and controls capabilities. Computer competency including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams are required.Physical Skill & Effort: Work requires computer proficiencyWillingness / ability to work after hours, weekends, and emergency hours as neededWillingness / ability to travel domestically as neededMust have the ability to work independently with little direct supervisionWork involves light and simple types of physical exertionWorking Conditions and Hazards: Normal office conditions. Customer visits may include exposure to site specific hazards and safety requirements. Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
