About Us:
Eagle Construction & Engineering is a licensed general contractor and civil engineering firm based in San Diego. We specialize in custom residential construction (ADUs, remodels, renovations), civil site development (grading, hydrology, drainage), and permit-ready design-build services.
We are expanding and seeking an independent-minded Project Manager to work with us in a commission-based partnership model — where your earnings grow directly with the value of the projects you manage.
Position Overview:
This is an entrepreneurial role — ideal for a self-driven, experienced Project Manager who wants more freedom, flexibility, and financial upside than traditional salaried positions.
You will manage multiple construction and engineering jobs (residential & light commercial), coordinate with city officials, subs, clients, and engineers, and take ownership from pre-construction to closeout.
Responsibilities:
- Manage residential and small commercial construction projects from A to Z
- Coordinate engineering (grading/hydrology) and architectural plans for permitting
- Conduct client site visits and inspections as needed
- Coordinate and schedule subs, inspections, and materials
- Ensure projects are on-time and within budget
- Assist with estimates, contracts, and change orders
- Provide regular updates to clients and internal team
- Collaborate with the business owner as a partner—not just an employee
Requirements:
- Experience working independently as a Project Manager
- Valid HIS Registration Number (Home Improvement Salesperson)
- Familiar with CSLB rules, residential codes, city permitting, and inspection processes
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage 3–5 jobs at once
- PMP certification is a plus
- Knowledge of San Diego markets, trades, and city permit processes preferred
- Spanish fluency is a bonus
Compensation Structure:
- Commission-Based / Revenue Share ModelYou earn a competitive percentage of each job you manage, not a flat hourly wage.Average earnings range between $90,000 – $180,000 annually, depending on project volume.
