About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Foundry Design Engineer/Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will enhance existing pattern and core box tooling & gating designs, develop new ones, and provide technical support to management for customer projects and process problem-solving. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and manufacturing staff to ensure high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and improve tooling using PTC Creo CAD, including pattern and core box tooling.
- Conduct solidification and flow analysis of castings using Solid Cast.
- Program and operate CNC machines to produce patterns and core boxes.
- Provide technical support to management, including problem-solving for process and quality issues.
- Assist CMM/3D scanning activities for PPAP requirements and support Quality Engineers.
- Collaborate with colleagues, share ideas, and implement feedback to enhance designs.
- Stay updated on engineering trends and advancements to continuously improve processes.
- Schedule and participate in meetings with management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of foundry processes, casting design, and gating systems.
- Experience with CNC programming and operation.
- Proficiency with PTC Creo, Finite Solutions, and solidification software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
