Job Description
We are looking for an experienced IoT Engineer – L2 with strong expertise in industrial automation, OT systems, and IIoT integration. The candidate will be responsible for connecting industrial devices with enterprise systems such as MES, enabling real-time data acquisition, monitoring, and analytics across manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and OPC UA systems
- Handle industrial communication protocols including IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, MODBUS, OPC standards
- Manage and support industrial networking components including DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Routers, Gateways
- Implement IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and AMQP
- Integrate industrial machines, devices, and equipment with MES systems for real-time data collection and analysis
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and IT teams to ensure MES alignment with business objectives
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for PLC/SCADA/HMI systems
- Enable automation of manual processes using PLCs and controllers for IIoT connectivity
- Work on IT-OT integration projects using industrial middleware such as Kepware and Ignition
- Support IIoT platforms for device monitoring, productivity tracking, anomaly detection, and utilization analysis
- Support PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming activities
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in PLC, SCADA, HMI systems
- Experience with OPC UA and industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, DNP3, IEC 101/104)
- Good understanding of industrial networking (DNS, DHCP, Firewall, Routers, Gateways)
- Knowledge of IoT protocols: MQTT, CoAP, AMQP
- Experience in MES integration and real-time manufacturing data systems
- Familiarity with industrial connectors (Kepware, Ignition)
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills in OT environments
- Understanding of industrial automation and manufacturing systems
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to IIoT platforms for industrial monitoring and analytics
- Experience working in manufacturing or plant environments
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity in OT environments
