Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IoT Architect (L3) with strong expertise in industrial automation, OT/IT integration, and IIoT platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in PLC, SCADA, HMI systems, industrial protocols, and enterprise integration for smart manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support PLC, HMI, SCADA, and OPC UA-based systems
- Work with industrial communication protocols including IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, MODBUS, OPC standards
- Integrate industrial devices, machines, and equipment with MES systems for real-time data collection and analytics
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify optimization and automation opportunities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and IT teams to align MES solutions with business goals
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for PLC/SCADA/HMI systems
- Enable automation of manual processes using PLCs and controllers for IIoT connectivity
- Design and implement IT-OT integration solutions using Kepware, Ignition, and similar industrial connectors
- Work on IIoT platforms for device monitoring, productivity tracking, anomaly detection, and utilization analysis
- Manage incident handling, escalation, and resolution of infrastructure issues
- Perform device lifecycle management, firmware updates, driver management, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for issue resolution
- Ensure system availability, monitoring, and health checks of industrial tools and platforms
- Maintain service catalog, inventory, and equipment qualification records
- Conduct regular maintenance and update technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in PLC, SCADA, HMI programming
- Hands-on expertise with OPC UA, IEC protocols (101/104), DNP3, MODBUS
- Strong understanding of networking: DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Routers, Gateways
- Experience with IoT protocols: MQTT, CoAP, AMQP
- Expertise in IT-OT integration and industrial middleware (Kepware, Ignition)
- Experience with MES integration and IIoT platforms
- Knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing systems
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills for OT environments
- Experience in service management and OT service operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments
- Knowledge of enterprise monitoring and asset management tools
- Exposure to cloud-based IIoT architectures (AWS IoT, Azure IoT preferred)
