EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by our client who is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead a team of 12 at a fast-growing organization. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role is responsible for driving fiscal strategy, delivering clear financial information to ownership and executives, and serving as a key thought partner across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a 12-person accounting team
- Oversee preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and regular Board reporting
- Build and maintain financial models for revenue and EBITDA forecasting; develop detailed budget and cash flow forecasts
- Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Manage cash flow and multi-currency treasury activities
- Determine ROI on new initiatives and expansion plans
- Monitor inventory accuracy across US and international sites
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to support key decisions
- Review contracts and legal documents for financial and liability impact
- Serve as liaison with external tax accountants, auditors, bankers, and legal counsel
- Lead or support ERP implementation projects in collaboration with the Assistant Controller
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
- Support ad hoc projects at the direction of management or ownership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred
- 10 years in accounting and finance, with 4 years in a leadership role at a multi-entity or international organization
- Experience with manufacturing and inventory systems in CPG or food and beverage preferred
- Strong strategic thinking paired with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influencing skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong KPI, Excel, Sheets, and SQL proficiency
- Ability to prioritize, operate independently, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles
