Leading automotive manufacturer in Auburn Hills seeks INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to keep advanced production equipment and automated systems running safely and at peak performance.
Job Description
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production machinery.
- Dismantle equipment to access, remove, and replace worn or defective drive mechanisms, hydraulic components, and piping.
- Realign and adjust critical mechanical components, including spindles and clutches.
- Set up and operate toolroom machinery (lathes, drill presses, grinders) to fabricate or repair replacement parts.
- Perform routine modifications to computer-controlled automation systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep accurate maintenance records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related mechanical/hydraulic maintenance experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and basic metalworking tools.
- Basic understanding of automated equipment and PLC motion adjustments.
- Ability to read safety rules, operating manuals, and technical instructions.
- Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
