Position Summary
The Mold Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining components used in injection molds to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to documented cleaning procedures, and the ability to work efficiently to support optimal mold functionality and consistent production output.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain injection mold components using approved tools and cleaning agents, including isopropyl alcohol, brushes, rags, Scotch-Brite pads, rotary tools, Q-tips, orange cleaner, ultrasonic tanks, and an ice blast machine.
- Follow all documented procedures and step-by-step instructions for each component type to ensure consistent, compliant cleaning practices.
- Inspect cleaned components for residues, wear, or damage, and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Work efficiently to meet production and maintenance schedules while upholding quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are cleaned after use.
- Assist with cleaning mold plates as required during the maintenance process.
- Comply with all safety and environmental regulations, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning materials and chemicals.
- Collaborate with maintenance and tooling teams to support overall mold performance, reliability, and production goals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
