EZ Tech PDR is seeking an experienced Body Shop Manager to lead daily operations and drive high-quality repair work across our shop. We specialize in Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), Auto Hail Repair, Collision Repair, and Painting, and pride ourselves on excellence, integrity, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage people, process, and profitability at the same time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality repairs that meet industry standards.
- Manage repair schedules, technician assignments, and workflow to maximize productivity and hit deadlines.
- Write and review accurate repair estimates and supplements based on thorough damage assessments and proper documentation.
- Lead the estimating process and work directly with insurance adjusters to secure approvals and confirm repair coverage.
- Manage parts ordering and returns to keep the repair process moving efficiently and costs under control.
- Uphold safety regulations and industry best practices to maintain a safe, compliant shop environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, insurers, and vendors, providing clear updates on repair status, cost, and timelines.
- Monitor inventory and manage costs, keeping parts and supplies stocked while protecting budget targets.
- Own the shop's annual operating budget, tracking spend against targets and adjusting to protect profitability.
- Recruit, train, and mentor shop staff, building a skilled, motivated team aligned with company standards.
- Process and oversee weekly payroll for shop staff, including hours verification, adjustments, and timely submission.
- Review completed repair files for accuracy and completeness before closing, ensuring all documentation meets company and insurance standards.
- Track and report on shop performance, efficiency, and profitability to guide ongoing improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in body shop management or a comparable leadership role in collision repair.
- Strong working knowledge of collision repair, paint processes, and insurance claim procedures.
- Hands-on experience writing and reviewing repair estimates and supplements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience with estimating software such as CCC, Mitchell, or similar platforms preferred.
