Custodian Summary

The Custodian is responsible for ensuring the building remains safe, clean, and sanitary while supporting a professional and welcoming workplace environment. This role performs routine custodial duties throughout the facility, maintains inventory levels for cleaning and restroom supplies, and ensures proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean and organized facility while supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Facility Cleaning // Perform general custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining clean workspaces throughout the facility
• Sanitation Standards // Ensure the building remains safe, clean, and sanitary for employees and visitors
• Supply Ordering // Order and maintain appropriate inventory levels based on facility usage and operational needs
• Chemical Compliance // Maintain and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with applicable governmental regulations
• Additional Support // Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisors and management

• Time Management // Ability to prioritize tasks and complete daily custodial duties efficiently
• Safety Awareness // Understanding of safe chemical handling and workplace safety practices
• Inventory Control // Ability to monitor supplies and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Dependability // Consistent attendance and reliability in supporting facility operations
• Communication Skills // Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED in general education

• Chemical Handling // Ability to safely use chemicals associated with custodial work
• Workplace Safety // Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Physical Capability // Ability to perform routine custodial activities including cleaning and material handling

Preferred Qualifications

• Custodial Experience // At least one (1) year of experience in a custodial position
• Cleaning Knowledge // Familiarity with commercial cleaning methods, products, and equipment
• Inventory Experience // Experience monitoring and maintaining custodial supply inventories

Salary and Schedule

• Salary // Salary will be commensurate with experience.
• Schedule // Full-Time; On-Site; Monday-Friday; 6:30 PM - 2:30 PM; Overtime eligible.
