Electrician

An Electrician is a skilled and experienced professional in the electrical trade who has completed a rigorous training program. They have successfully completed an apprenticeship program, which typically involves a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training under the guidance of a qualified mentor. They possess a deep understanding of electrical theory, codes, regulations, and safety practices. Electrician's are proficient in installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in various settings, including commercial, and industrial environments. They often work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to complete projects efficiently and effectively. They are known for their attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, malfunctions, and failures to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout all electrical work performed.
• Adhering to and promoting strict safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards in the workplace.
• Conducting testing, inspections, and quality assurance checks on electrical systems and components to verify functionality, integrity, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintaining accurate records, documentation, time-keeping, and logs of electrical work performed, including installation, maintenance, repairs, time, and inspections.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople, contractors, engineers, and project managers to coordinate work activities, resolve issues, and ensure project success.
• Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentice electricians and less experienced team members to support their professional development and skill enhancement.
• Providing excellent customer service and communication to clients, stakeholders, and end-users regarding electrical projects, timelines, and expectations.
• Staying updated on latest developments, technologies, &best practices in the electrical field through continuing education, training programs, &professional development opportunities.
• Being able to adapt to different work environments, such as residential, commercial, or industrial settings, and adjust work practices accordingly.
• This may involve familiarizing oneself with new safety protocols, equipment, or regulations to ensure compliance and successful project outcomes.
• Being able to modify work plans and schedules in response to shifting project priorities, deadlines, or resource availability.
• This may involve reallocating tasks, revising timelines, or coordinating with other team members to ensure that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
• Being able to adapt work methods and techniques based on the specific requirements of each project and any changes that may occur during its execution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $43.00 per hour
