Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for various accounting tasks, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger maintenance, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. They must have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounts Payable: Manage the accounts payable process, including processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, recording transactions and reconciling accounts as needed.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing input on revenue and expense projections.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess the company's financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, including preparation of tax returns and coordinating with external tax advisors.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed to auditors.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and financial management tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Communication: Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders, including management, department heads, and team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in accounting processes, implementing best practices to enhance effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, maintaining accurate and reliable financial records.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and sales, to support business objectives and address financial needs.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Payroll- responsible for managing and processing employee salaries, benefits, and deductions. They ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, handle tax compliance, and address employee inquiries related to payroll matters.
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Experience:
- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role and/or
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
