Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment to uphold the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety. Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical devices in accordance with established protocols.
- Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies and medical equipment, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
- Reprocess endoscopes and other complex medical instruments following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and quality assurance records.
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection prevention measures during all processing activities.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure instruments meet procedural readiness requirements.
- Conduct routine quality checks on sterilization equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Follow hospital policies related to infection control, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on advancements in sterile processing techniques and healthcare infection prevention practices.
MUST HAVE:
- 2 Years of Sterile Processing Experience - [required]
- Active HSPA Certification - [REQUIRED]
Shift- Afternoons: 11:00 am - 7:30 pm(8 hrs)
Weekend Requirement: Required
