What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager - Consumer Audio Sourcing position at E & S International Enterprises Inc?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing of branded consumer audio products from manufacturing partners in China (Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan and surrounding regions).
- Partner with the VP Product Development on the full execution stack: BOM and costs, artwork and packaging, POS displays and samples, tooling, pilot production, and initial mass production.
- Manage QA and QC standards from pilot through MP. Resolve issues before they hit US distribution.
- Manage vendor and licensor relationships across the audio brand portfolio.
- Translate account-specific needs (Sam’s Club, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, BJ’s) into product specifications and roadmap inputs.
- Own product timelines from concept through pilot through MP. Track execution via Trello and project management tools.
- Travel to the Far East regularly (4–6 trips per year) for vendor reviews, product audits, and factory visits.
- Resolve sourcing escalations, supply issues, and cost or quality risks in real time.
- Collaborate with US-based commercial and operations teams on production timing aligned to retailer demand.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of product management experience in consumer electronics, with direct experience in audio (headphones, speakers, soundbars, or related categories).
- Demonstrated direct sourcing experience from China — you have worked with OEM/ODM partners, run factory floors, and managed contract manufacturers.
- Strong technical fluency: BOM analysis, cost engineering, packaging engineering, QA / QC standards, and first-article inspection.
- Full product lifecycle experience: spec → factory selection → cost → packaging → first article → mass production.
- Excellent communication and project management skills. Comfort moving between technical detail and executive summary.
- Willing to travel internationally on a regular cadence.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mandarin language ability — spoken and/or written.
- Existing relationships with Chinese consumer audio manufacturers.
- Experience with licensed brand portfolios and the unique requirements of brand-license partners.
- Background working in retail-driven consumer electronics businesses serving mass, club, or specialty channels.
Pay: $72,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
