E-ONE manufactures custom and commercial fire trucks including pumpers and tankers, aerial ladders and platforms, rescues of all sizes, quick attack units, industrial trucks, and ARFF (aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles).

SCOPE: The Staff Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform standard accounting work as assigned relating to the preparation of financial data for use in financial reports.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Maintain inter-company transaction and reporting across multiple business units
- Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
- Preparation and analysis of budgets and expenditures
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including distributing monthly revenue and expenditure reports to departments.
- Assist in testing a new accounting system prior to full implementation
- Excellent communication stills within and across departments
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Strong technical accounting background
- At least five years general accounting experience is required including exposure to cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
- D365 Experience is a major plus but not required. Similar system experience desired.
- Strong Excel and database skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
- Teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the company.
