As a Field Service Technician, you’ll bring technology to life delivering, setting up, and installing equipment at customer locations while diagnosing and repairing issues across mechanical, electronic, and network systems. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where no two days are the same, and where your technical expertise and service mindset directly impact customer success.
Your Role:
- Deliver, install, and configure office equipment at customer locations
- Perform machine setups, including assembly, configuration, and testing to ensure optimal functionality
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues related to mechanical, electronic, networking, media, and software systems
- Educate and train customers on proper usage and basic troubleshooting of equipment
- Respond to service calls and efficiently resolve customer concerns on-site
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for service and installation
- Communicate effectively with customers, call coordinators, sales teams, and internal support staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or additional solutions and refer to sales as appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work environment
- Travel regularly to customer sites within the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area and up to an hour outside of the 494/694 beltway
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude with basic computer and networking knowledge
- Experience in a customer-facing or technical service environment preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and think critically in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required
- Ability to lift, move, and install equipment (up to 50 lbs or more as needed)
- Willingness to learn and grow through ongoing training and development
