We are seeking an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Maintenance Technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills on both diesel and gasoline engines. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who wants a stable, long-term career maintaining a unique fleet that is recognized around the world.
Starting pay: $38 /hour based on experience, skills, and performance, with additional earning potential through our biweekly productivity bonus program.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and fleet equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled inspections, and safety checks.
- Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, and cooling systems.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to efficiently identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Maintain accurate repair records, work orders, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional automotive, heavy-duty diesel, fleet maintenance, or related mechanical experience.
- Experience working on both diesel and gasoline engines is required.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
- Experience with fleet vehicles, buses, commercial vehicles, or heavy-duty equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus).
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
