Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various construction and renovation projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the carpentry field. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. at least 1 year experience required
Duties
- Assist carpenters in the installation of fixtures, cabinets, and siding.
- Help with flooring installations.
- Support frame carpentry tasks by preparing materials and tools.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Participate in the fabrication of wooden structures and components.
- Aid in the restoration of existing structures as needed.
- Follow safety protocols while working on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry.
- Experience or knowledge in frame carpentry, cabinet installation, and the restoration industry is preferred.
- Basic electrical skills are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from experienced carpenters.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills within the trade.
