About the Role 🔧
As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement processes across the US entity, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and strong supply management. You will work closely with project managers and department heads to develop strategic procurement strategies that align with business objectives and project demands.
Key Responsibilities 📌
- Development & implementation of procurement strategies to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all projects.
- Act as a strategic business partner to various business units for all procurement functions.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, providing professional advice on procurement strategy and relevant policies, guidelines, and legislation.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing while ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Align business unit goals and objectives with procurement strategy, ensuring current and future requirements are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Lead team development and performance management, ensuring direct reports meet performance standards and achieve personal objectives.
- Collaborate with operations and commercial managers to ensure project timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure strategic supplier relationships are maintained and developed.
- Support the supply chain team with maintaining and continuously improving the internal SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) system.
- Monitor key procurement KPIs and prepare monthly reports for executive leadership updates.
Requirements ✅
- 10 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, with a strong track record of driving value and efficiency.
- Experience in procurement for HV (High Voltage) substations.
- Proven leadership in procurement strategy and operations (construction or engineering sector experience highly desirable).
- Strong understanding of global market dynamics, supplier landscapes, and cost structures across multiple geographies.
- Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills with a commercial mindset.
- A confident and collaborative leader able to inspire and develop teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with project delivery, legal, finance, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in procurement systems / ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, Coupa) is an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications such as CPSM or a related degree are preferred
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
