Role Overview – Electrical Estimator📝
The Electrical Estimator will play a critical role in developing accurate, competitive, and strategic cost estimates for high-voltage substation projects. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure bids align with both commercial and technical objectives while identifying risk, cost efficiencies, and growth opportunities.
This role requires strong analytical capability, deep substation experience, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities 🔍
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates based on client specifications and project requirements
- Develop comprehensive bid packages, including tender documentation and bills of quantities
- Support contract negotiations and provide commercial input during bid reviews
- Perform rate analysis, risk assessments, and pricing strategy development
- Identify and evaluate commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Conduct cost analysis for repair, maintenance, and capital project work
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to align on scope and pricing
- Provide guidance on procurement strategies and vendor pricing structures
- Support contractual claims analysis and commercial documentation
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships while identifying potential new business opportunities
- Analyze market data and contribute to strategic growth initiatives
Requirements 🎓
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering estimation and commercial bid preparation
- Demonstrated experience specifically within substation projects
- Strong background in rate analysis, risk assessment, and technical reporting
