Cost Manager

Partnering with a global Project & Cost Management company looking for a Cost Manager to join the team in Tucson, AZ.

The company works on a range of non-residential projects from data centers, education, healthcare, hospitality, office, retail etc. and are looking for someone to support construction and engineering projects. This role involves cost planning, financial oversight, procurement support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue periodic cost reports to senior technical staff
• Develop construction cost estimates, cost plans, and cost strategies
• Review cash flow forecasts prepared by junior staff before submission to senior leadership
• Evaluate and manage change orders in accordance with client approval processes
• Review project invoices, ensure proper coding, and coordinate submission to accounts payable
• Support procurement activities, including preparing RFPs and conducting bid analysis
• Monitor contractor buyout of subcontract packages and report progress to the client
• Participate in bi-weekly cost meetings with contractors and engineering teams
• Provide cost insights for value engineering initiatives
• Conduct earned value analysis on a periodic basis
• Oversee contractor closeout processes and ensure contractual compliance
• Collaborate effectively with team members to drive overall performance
• Understand client objectives and identify opportunities to add value
• Support additional project duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven decision-making capability with minimal supervision
• Experience managing or mentoring team members
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
