Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring seamless supply chain operations. This role requires strong expertise in production management, ERP systems, and continuous improvement methodologies to support efficient plant operations and quality standards.
Shift Schedule: Mon-Thursday / 10 hour days
**$2000 Sign on Bonus after successful 90 day period**
Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using MRP, and other ERP systems to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, and plant management teams to align production plans with inventory levels, capacity constraints, and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor production progress and adjust plans proactively to address delays or bottlenecks, ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Analyze supply chain data and utilize supply chain management tools to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure products meet quality standards throughout the production process.
- Implementation of a production planning process
- Support process improvement projects by providing insights into manufacturing workflows and recommending enhancements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production plans, inventory levels, and operational metrics for reporting purposes.
- Assist in plant management activities related to operations management, assembly processes, and mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving complex supply chains.
- Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems experience with MRP is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques, process improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Background in supply chain analytics, operations management, and plant management is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with assembly processes can be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data for supply chain optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
