Accounting Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Analyst to join our client services finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring groups are correctly set up in the processing system. This role is essential in supporting the overall financial health of our organization by coordinating payment recovery and communicating with groups as needed.

Responsibilities

• Processes checks, posts account information and reconciles deposits.
• Completes compensation process monthly.
• Processes new business.
• Completes rate changes, ACH pulls for Debit Card Groups, and posts payments.
• Tracks run out billing for cancelled groups and audits them for refund of administration fees.
• Insures billing and payment information is correct for all groups and verifies all information is provided to bill groups for all services.
• Meets established quality and productivity goals for accounting processes.
• Serves as a resource to other departments regarding accounting issues.
• Works with IT department to ensure accounting system processes work correctly.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
• Communicates with groups, vendors, banks and other outside areas regarding financial issues.

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting concepts and practices, including budgeting and account reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments.
• Computer knowledge with experience in excel and data processing.
• Accounting knowledge with a minimum of 2 years accounting work experience.
• A degree in accounting desirable but not mandatory
• Knowledge of group health benefits is helpful

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
