What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Stack Software Developer position at E-AIM?
E-AIM is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support enterprise custom workflow applications by delivering new capabilities, enhancing existing applications and/or databases, and providing sustainment support. The role supports full application lifecycle management (ALM) including requirements, development, testing, deployment, and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance web-based applications and supporting services across the full stack (UI, API, data).
- Support full lifecycle / ALM for custom workflow applications: requirements, development, testing, deployment, and defect resolution.
- Build and enhance applications and/or databases, including data models, queries, and performance improvements.
- Create and execute test plans, using automated testing tools when possible.
- Produce and update end-user operational instructions and technical documentation for new or revised functionality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with stakeholders and team members to deliver sprint objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of application development experience OR a relevant 4-year degree.
- Demonstrated experience delivering full stack solutions, including:
- Front-end development (modern web UI development)
- Back-end/API development (RESTful services and integration patterns)
- Database development (schema design, SQL, and data-driven applications)
- Experience supporting ALM activities: requirements, development, testing, deployment, and defect resolution.
- Experience creating and executing test plans, including use of automated testing tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance (minimum L-level; may require Q-level depending on assignment).
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC (routine telework may be approved).
- Ability to complete required periodic/annual trainings.
Desired Qualifications
- Platform experience with ServiceNow (development/configuration).
- Web development experience using JavaScript and/or HTML.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git), and DevOps practices in a controlled environment.
- Experience with secure coding practices and working in regulated environments.
