Position: Software Field Service Representative
Location: Fairfax VA 22031
Position Description
DZYNE Technologies is seeking a Field Service Representative (FSR) specializing in software to support the deployment, operation, and sustainment of advanced systems at customer sites. This role is highly hands-on and customer-facing, requiring strong technical depth in software as well as the ability to operate independently in dynamic, mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate thrives in the field, is comfortable with frequent domestic and international travel, and can serve as a trusted technical representative of DZYNE with government and commercial customers.
Responsibilities
Travel: 40–75%, including overseas deployments
Working Conditions: The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment or warehouse to in the field (e.g. proving grounds, airfields) under various weather conditions.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to have a legal right to work in the United States and be eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and DoD Clearance.
Salary: $105,000 - $130,000 annually
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.

Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support DZYNE software systems at customer and partner sites, both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Perform on-site software installation, updates, integration, and troubleshooting across development, test, and operational environments.
- Act as the primary on-site technical liaison between DZYNE engineering teams and end users.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues involving networking, operating systems, hardware interfaces, and system configurations.
- Collect field feedback, logs, and performance data and communicate actionable insights back to engineering teams.
- Support system demonstrations, acceptance testing, training, and operational exercises.
- Assist with documentation, user guides, and operational procedures based on real-world field use.
- Maintain readiness to deploy on short notice and operate effectively in austere or time-sensitive environments.
- Represent DZYNE professionally while complying with customer security, safety, and operational requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including international travel, for extended periods (1-2 weeks at a time).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience with software deployment, configuration management, and troubleshooting in real-world environments.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, ports, routing) and hardware/software integration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while traveling extensively.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (or currently hold one).
- Experience supporting government, defense, aerospace, or unmanned systems programs.
- 3 years of experience supporting software-intensive systems in a field, customer-support, or operational role.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), scripting, or system automation.
- Familiarity with Python and/or Go
- Familiarity with website debugging
- Prior experience as a Field Service Representative, Systems Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer.
- Active U.S. Government security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors
- Must be able sit for extended periods of time as part of travel both CONUS and OCONUS
