Responsibilities
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Ensures that safety programs are in compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations.
- Assists in regulatory compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies to achieve company safety objectives
- Responsible for maintaining accurate OSHA 300 logs and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and prepare reports for management review.
- Ensures the coordination and training of managers and employees of work site safety and practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other material.
- Worker's compensation experience is a needed.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with workers' compensation laws and assist in claims management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices related to occupational health and safety.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety coordination.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers' compensation laws.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train employees effectively.
- Proficient in report writing and data analysis related to safety metrics.
- Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis.
