Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
• Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications, exams, and supporting minor procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses to ensure proper billing and recordkeeping; support documentation of anatomy and physiology details relevant to patient care.
• Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist with specimen collection for laboratory testing.
• Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
• Support medical administrative functions including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine or outpatient clinics with a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Knowledge of EHR systems for documentation and patient record management; familiarity with ICD coding is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, clinician support, and basic life support (BLS).
• Experience working in hospital environments including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers; inpatient experience is preferred.
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU or Geriatrics settings.
• Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and OR experience is a plus; knowledge of medical-surgical procedures enhances your versatility.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as outpatient clinics or hospital units while maintaining attention to detail.
