Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Support clinical staff with procedures including medication administration, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) when needed.
- Document patient encounters thoroughly using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and recordkeeping purposes.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Support administrative functions like appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and managing EHR documentation efficiently.Experience
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital environments with exposure to dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine settings.
