Role Description The Machine Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Vineyard, UT, responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment used in manufacturing, packaging, and related operations. This role performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure machines run safely and efficiently. The technician responds to equipment issues, diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems, and completes timely repairs and adjustments. Daily responsibilities include documenting maintenance activities, coordinating with production and quality teams on equipment performance, and following safety and cleanliness standards on the production floor. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades, process improvements, and better maintenance practices for long-term equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing or packaging equipment.
- Experience with basic electrical systems, sensors, and control panels used in automated or semi-automated machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment diagrams, and maintenance schedules.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, lubrication, calibration, and parts replacement.
- Strong safety awareness, including lockout/tagout procedures and adherence to workplace safety standards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain accurate maintenance records in a fast-paced environment.
