We are currently seeking an experienced Project Estimator to bid HVAC and Pipefitting jobs. Job Description Summary:
· Analyze and interpret information on plans, specifications, and construction documents
· Perform take off for all aspects of mechanical piping scope of work
· Manage bids, including review of addenda, subcontractor quotes, and material/equipment quotes
· Knowledge of field installation means, methods, and best practices
· Understand and abide by industry safety and quality standards
· Collaborate with in-house HVAC estimator/division manager and mechanical coordinator
· Collaborate with in-house fabrication and machining project managers for turn-key proposals
· Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits, as necessary
Requirements:
· Ability to estimate construction projects ranging up to $2M, minimum 3 years of experience (piping systems for the following markets including, but not limited to: industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical, food processes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, commercial, and municipal)
· Experience with Microsoft Office products
· Ability to gather and analyze data, define problems, and make sound decisions
· Ability to prioritize, organize, and work well under pressure
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to meet tight deadlines
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Work independently, as well as with a team
Salary : $65,000 - $90,000
