Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and drainage components in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute plumbing layouts and system designs
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and install plumbing components efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical standards
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems to prevent issues and extend system lifespan
- Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to coordinate project timelines and address any plumbing-related concerns
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely during pipe installation or remodeling projects while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing and residential or commercial projects
- Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building regulations, HVAC systems, gas piping systems, and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and mechanical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and carpentry skills as needed
- Experience with pipe installation—including pipe fitting, threading, soldering—and system maintenance or repair
- Familiarity with construction site procedures including heavy lifting and working at heights when necessary
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving when required; experience with field service operations is a plus
- Commitment to safety regulations and adherence to all safety protocols during project execution
