Responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving – receive inbound shipments accurately, verify inbound receipts match vendor/transfer purchase order, accurate accounting of inventory and resolution of discrepancies
- Put Away (stocking) incoming inventory following (FIFO) standards, verifying receiving accuracy matching parts and quantity to stock locations and resolution of discrepancies
- Picking – pull orders to customer specifications, ensure order accuracy, accurate accounting of inventory and resolutions of discrepancies
- Packaging, Shipping, Quality Control - package inventory to fulfill customer orders to customer specifications, verification of order accuracy matching parts and quantity to pick ticket, freight is rated according to DXP standards, accurate accounting of inventory and resolution of discrepancies
- Inventory – assist with cycle counting process, staging inventory
- Utilizing material handling equipment, safely and efficiently to transport products to different locations or delivery platforms and ensuring orders are staged for delivery
- Additional responsibilities and cross training are added as you grow with our company
- 1-3 year(s) of previous Warehouse experience required
- Ability to operate a forklift required
- Data entry skills, scanning, organization, and multi-tasking are required
- Prior computer experience including Microsoft Office, common carrier shipping software, and online tracking and mapping tools
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and follow directions to complete work in a timely manner
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet daily deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Must adhere to all safety rules and requirements
- Keep Warehouse, work area clean and organized
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Physical Demand: Ability to lift 50 lbs., involves extensive standing, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending, and repetitive movements
- Working Conditions: Warehouse Distribution environment with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise
- Training/Certifications: N/A
- Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm M-F based on business needs
- Overtime: Some OT may be required
- Travel: N/A
