Summary
Under the direction of the Sales VP, the Sales Professional will develop strategic plans and forecasts for accounts, communicate effectively internally and externally, resolving customer issues proactively, grow and maintain sales territory, identify new sales opportunities, understand customer visions and supply chain objectives to provide proactive solutions, build relationships with decision makers, exceed sales goals and provide routine cost savings reports.

Summary

Responsibilities of Sales Professional include, but are not limited to:
- Grow our existing pump and rotating equipment business and service/repair business in the North Central NJ territory, which includes the following counties: Sussex, Warren, Passaic, Bergen, Morris, Essex, Hudson, Union, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Mercer, and Monmouth.
- Expand our existing business into new or underserved accounts.
- Focus on Industrial, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Personal Care and Petrochemical
- Integrate and further entrench yourself and DXP into the very fabric of our customers’ businesses.
- Do what you say you will do when you say you will do it. Develop and hone your listening skills.
- Be mindful of how you’ll be perceived in all aspects of customer communication and relationships.
- Develop the deep and detailed technical expertise required for the job, have a terrific attitude, dress appropriately, and be coachable.
- Be a self-starter with a desire to compete.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in the pump industry and for the product lines we represent
- Utilize Salesforce to manage and grow your business
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Industrial distribution outside sales experience is preferred but not required
- An Engineering degree is preferred but not required
- Must live within a 50-mile radius of Newark, NJ, or be willing to relocate to the area
- Be organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be proficient with iPhone and iPad
